I'm getting the same errors (can't open SQLite file or log file). It looks like a permission problem - trying to create files in the install directory C:\Program Files instead of a user-writable directory like %USERPROFILE%\AppData.

The error usually occurs when you: do not have admin rights no write permissions Helper is open twice.

I went into properties and set for both the helper and the updater executables to run as administrator. I also set the log file and sqlite3.dll to allow programs to modify. This stopped the pop-up errors nut the helper never initiates. This is only happening on my Laptop I have set it up with no issues on my desktop and my wife's laptop.
