Same to me.
Yeah I'm having the same problem.

The servers are completely overloaded. Farbstoff has uploaded the current release on Google. Here you can find the link.

DON´T run the updater!!! Uncheck the checkmark at the last tab on install!

Working for me 👍

Attempted this fix. Upon restart received an error "RSLHelper.DLL nor found". In the background of the picture, shows it's in the same folder and present. Hit okay and RSLH proceeds to open normally, including Raid automatically, but does not connect (control) anything in game.

I unchecked the update check box. But at the end of the RSL helper start up it decides to launch the updater anyway. I see in the RSL helper output briefly that an update is available. So I think that is why it closes and opens the updater.

On a whim. Copied the RSLHelperAdd.DLL from the older version folder and replaced the latest instal (RSL_Helper_InitalSetup_V2.9.49.24) file. Working well now.
""
older version folder
I ran the installer again (paying attention to the install path this time) and looked at the target of my short cut and realized RSL is now in an entirely different location. Launching RSL Helper from the new folder with the update check box disabled launches everything correctly. And... character details are loading again and new runs are starting correctly.
Guys one suggestion from my side. Farbstoff is doing this in his freetime! From time to time there will be issues. The more people using this the more likley it is that servers are getting overloaded.
If you want to prevent that from happening give all your money to Farbstoff :D
I'm still getting the not logged in message so it doesn't seem super solved...
Do the following:
That's a pretty scary workaround. I understand this is a free / donation based product so I totally get if it takes some time to get the server working or whatever, but to just stamp solved on the issue because you can download some random version using a bitly link to (someones?) google drive doesn't seem like a solution to me. I mean what happens in 3 days when Plarium updates again?
If this is a permanent server issue then maybe there's a way to distribute the executable via github manually?
Having said that I've only used this tool for a couple weeks but it is pretty amazing and I will be contributing (money) to the cause...
@kmslogic you can check into Farbstoffs official discord and lookup the download link there. I just did it myself and with it the RSLHelper is working again.
Do the following:
- Uninstall RSLHelper
- Download https://bit.ly/3ob3rpL
- Reinstall the downloaded RSLHelper which you just downloaded
- DO NOT START THE RSLHelperUpdater!
Yap thats the trick that worked for me 👍
@Bigboss67117
Because you have installed an old version. Use the one from the link and you will see everything works as described in the instructions...
And check you shortcuts, some are broken and have a wrong link!

This worked for me! Thank you @BlackHawk3000.
And thank you @Farbstoff for the awesome app!
I did the reroute the shortcut method since the new RSL was installing on a different path, ran it from new folder, works...

Tried this method (Fresh install using the new install file.), still the same problem. Updater will start after running RSLHelper and say "not logged in".

Followed these steps exactly. Went directly to the folder to run, and am getting the same problem. The start log indicates the rsl helper tries to check too see if it's running the latest version, and then gets that "Not Logged in" error. Any way to bypass the version check?
Also getting the same problem. tried installing to a completely fresh folder, as well as to a renamed folder. always unchecked last box on install. running form start menu, or directly from folder. always on start up it says not logged in, then it opens updater, and cant update.

I have exactly the same thing. Even been checked if it's newest version, but it's RSL_Helper_InitalSetup_V2.9.49.24.exe so everything seems right.
still doesn't work, after starting RSLHelper, it starts Updater but Updater doesn't work
Same for me, the system detect a new version 2.10.11 and want to update..
Not working for me too, as described by the several people before me. Followed the instructions to the letter as described by prescben and others. Deleted the folder, and made sure all registry entries were gone too. Used the correct download location. Verified the file name is what people are saying is the newest. Didn't click the last checkbox on install. Then when running rslhelper.exe it checks automatically for an update (see the screenshots of people above me), says a new update is available and then only has one option - "click here to update the helper". To those people just pasting the same instructions that worked for you, please don't paste again. You can see that many of us have tried exactly that and it doesn't work.
Echoing the remarks of the last post. Not sure what else to try.
Having the same issue. Even after totally deleting rsl from my pc including root path folder and making sure the start updater box was not checked it still automatically opens the updater, then a not logged in message.
Hi, id thought i was being crazy!!! i have the same problem. I'd followed all steps (several times) and still having the same problem. Program tried to update even i'd unmarked that option and then having the error
Workaround for helper trying to update:
Hey I followed all the steps described here, the helper was still trying to update. Then I went and blocked the helpers internet access in my firewall, now it works (you need to block the helper, not the updater).

(Will save confusion later when trying to unblock the program.)
yeah I can see this backfiring in few days when I totally forgot about it ;)
What is your idea of enhancement?
I think this version needs to updat because it is not work my client.
