Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (yeah, yeah. I know Windows 7 is old, is no longer supported by Microsoft, no longer supported by most companies, etc, but i don't really care. however, I am surprised that BBCR even runs on Windows 7 though.) I've tried on Windows 11 Pro x64 too, also happens there.
Describe the bug
When starting a new game in any style with the Lights Out Fun Setting enabled, the player and Principal of the Thing retain their default light color and strength, even if those values are set to something different using the mod menu.
turning "Emits light during Lights Out" off and back on again for the player and Principal of the Thing fixes it temporarily until a new game is started.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
Start BBCR with the mod menu
open the mod menu
change the light color and strength for Principal of the Thing and the Player to something other than the defaults
start a new game with Lights Out enabled
observe that the light settings still appear as they are normally as if you hadn't changed anything
How to temporarily fix:
open the mod menu
turn Emits light during Lights Out off and back on for both the player and Principal of the Thing OR
change the light color and/or strength for the player and Principal of the Thing
Play the game with the new light colors
start a new game when you're done
find out that the bug occurred again
contemplate your life choices
repeat steps 6 through 13
