Unable to resize Converseen app window on Debian #171

Hi, my main issue with Converseen is that I cannot resize the window and it takes up practically my complete screen (1920x1080) and exceeds the width of the screen. Latest version in Debian repo 0.12.2.3-1.

Hope this can be solved Thank you in advance.

Hi, sorry for the late response. May I know which desktop environment you are using?

I tested the program on KDE Plasma using a laptop with a 1024×768 resolution and it seems that the window can resize correctly.

Maybe it is a problem depending on the particular desktop environment.

No problem. I run Debian testing aka trixie with Mate DE on an ASRock X470 Master SLI, Ryzen 7 5700G, 32GB ram, RX 6600 XT 1920x1080 screen.

Perfect, thank you very much for the information! I will try some tests on Mate DE to see if there are any problems and will let you know soon!

That was fast rotfl. I hope you can find out what might be the issue. By the way I installed it from the official Debian repostory.

I installed Debian Trixie with the MATE desktop environment on a virtual machine, setting the resolution to 1920x1080. The program window proportions seem fine.

Are you using any desktop scaling features in the display settings?

May I suggest that you delete this folder, maybe there is something wrong with the settings saved by the program: ~/.config/converseen
