And since I do not want to write to Gmail addresses (due to Google violating users privacy), here are several topics all in a single GitHub issue, I know this isn't the best way to raise issues, sorry about that, but I'm lacking time unfortunately...

Documentation: since I couldn't find any documentation, I had to play around with renaming options for quite a long time before reaching some conclusions. Apparently, # character means either "file basename" or "numeric ID" depending on the chosen option for the output file name. Would it be possible to add some explanations about this, for example via a popup message while hovering the "Prefix/Suffix" and "Incremental number" fields? Note: choosing the same character (#) for different meanings is quite misleading IMO. In addition, it would be really useful to mix (select both) ways to name the output file (to allow keeping the file basename AND adding a numeric ID at the same time). For example, with an input file named dummy.jpg, generated output files could be named dummy_copy_1.jpg, dummy_copy_2.jpg, etc.

French translation issues and GUI layout:

in the About window, substitute "redimenssionneur" (2 S is wrong) with "redimensionneur" (although this noun does not exist in French ^^, it's still understandable).
strange text string at the bottom of the About window (starting with "{3C?}").
button labels relating to "Check"/"Check all": French translations "Vérifier"/"Tout vérifier" are not correct at all (wrong understanding of what "check" means in this context). Rather translate as "Sélectionner"/"Tout sélectionner". Note 1: "Uncheck"/"Uncheck all" equivalents are present in the Edit menu, which is not practical at all. Rather move them to the toolbar. Note 2: French translations "Décocher l'élement" / "Décocher tous les élements" are not bad, but not aligned with some other toolbar translated buttons. So I would suggest "Désélectionner" for shortcut Ctrl+J, and "Désélectionner tout" for shortcut Ctrl+Alt+J. Note 3: if I were you, I would remove menu options (and related toolbar buttons) "Check" and "Uncheck", since they are quite useless IMO. Users will rather go check/uncheck source images directly in the files list.
Rotation & Flip tab: substitute "Horizontallement" (2 L is incorrect) with "Horizontalement" and "Verticallement" (2 L is incorrect) with "Verticalement".
image conversion "Status" window: in column "Status", substitute value "Convertis" (plural is incorrect) with "Convertie".

Bugs:

in the image conversion "Status" window, once the conversion has completed, clicking button "Open destination" leads to an error message in Dolphin (on Kubuntu 16.04.5) mentioning that the directory does not exist. Reason: instead of destination directory /home/user/Images for example, Converseen looks for smb://home/user/Images (which as a matter of fact does not exist -> this directory is NOT shared with Samba).
I faced an application crash today, after adding tens of images (all coming from the same directory). Then checking the first 3 images quickly... Outcome: only the 1st image got selected. I tried to select the 2nd one again, and after a few seconds, the program crashed.
