Hello -
I hope you don't mind me posting here. I'm just having a very hard time finding the right person to help with our project.
I need to create a java project which can communicate with a digital scoreboard.
I have watched this video a couple of times but cannot get through the first step of creating a virtual port which starts at this point in the video: https://youtu.be/ytJTSyUYifY?t=1671
I have purchased this project from the developer in the video so we have something with which to start if it is helpful. I can create you a full spec of the project which involves calling REST api to POST data from the scoreboard port which we will be monitoring. Since it is hard to physically sit with the scoreboard, I'm hoping some virtual port such as VSPE can be used for the development. I am happy to hire you on hourly basis or blocks of hours if this is something of interest to you.
Basically, the project in the video seems to be what I need and it uses jSerialComm. The next steps would be to integrate some calls to a REST api. We have budget for the project and are grateful for any level of help (simple zoom consulting to full on development of the product).
Thanks for any help you can provide in finding us the right person.
