Hellfire Peninsula World PvP #104

Cap range on towers still bugged, you can cap the towers without even being close to the physicle tower, this has been tested with my test character and a player.

HP towers: 80 -> 50 EP towers: 80 -> 50 TF towers: 75 -> 75 ZM towers: 60 -> 60 NA towers: 100 -> 100

these are the old->new capture ranges of the towers. So next time if you don't like them, please be more specific about how much they should be increased / decreased

wait till Sideways updates the server to recheck

Koroth, I'm going to need to teach everyone how to be more detailed and thorough with their bug reports. You must also post recommended fixes because many of the developers have not played WoW before. Here are all of the issues I discovered in last night's hour of testing:

1.) Capture range of the fortifications are well outside of the structure. These need to be reduced to on the walls and any area within.

2.) There are no flags on the posts to announce whether it is Alliance, Horde, or uncontrolled. Changing the ownership does not activate these flags.

3.) Upon killing a player of the opposing faction, a commendation mark is not created in the player's inventory. These are either Mark of Thrallmar or Mark of Honor Hold.

4.) Fortification icons on the world map are shown constantly as red (under Horde control) when they are not.

5.) The speed of one person capturing is EXTREMELY slow, perhaps increase it to 2x current values at the least.

6.) The buff Hellfire Superiority is granted to all players regardless of faction and regardless if all three are controlled or not, and regardless of what zone you are in.

7.) For the quest Hellfire Fortifications, credit was not extended to party members upon capture if they were not within capture range. This should be fixed.

8.) The world PvP starting quest for Hellfire Fortifications is not available, thus giving people the opportunity to use a basic PvP trinket. This should be implemented.

The effects of stealth and the ability to capture have not yet been tested, this may also have a potential problem.

Why yes, I was in a party, but it should still give the mark even when not in a group. But it should only award it within the control area of the fortification.

capture range decreased; the solution with the flags isn't too good at the moment. you will be able to see them only while in the capture region; marks upon killing ppl should be fixed; map icons should be fixed; capture speed remains the same for now; buff Hellfire Superiority still buged :( 7.) 4) still bugged it seems - will be fixed after next update 6) will be fixed after next update 8) i was able to accept both alliance (from Tracy Proudwell) and horde (from Blackeye) quests. Theye are marked as low level at lvl 70. Does any of your add-ons hide those?

how long it takes to capture a flag? i remember somewhere between 2-3 mins.

As for 7, it should be the same as being in a party with someone, they kill a quest target mob, and you getting credit also for it. If you can do that, no problem.

And for 8, should be both factions. This will give everyone an early escape since they won't have time to get one pre-60. So the first quest should be a normal yellow quest and reward the trinket, then all quests after it should be daily quests. However, the normal quest with the trinket and the daily should be able to be completed within the same day doing the same thing before the daily cooldown kicks in.
