Warlock pets do not resist spells as they used to on RETAIL. I remember 100% correctly that for a warlock to kill another warlocks pet he has to put up CURSE OF ELEMENTS to reduce the resist to get dots up and even then it was hard to get it up. And as of right now you can put all dots up easily. Also mages can easily kill pets and its supposed to be hard for casters and to kill warlock pet (fel hunter only).

On retail warlocks had the trinket from tempest keep that increases pet resistances by 130 or something.

Warlock pets have exactly the base resistances they used to have, and the same skilling (added a few months ago). I am pretty sure jakebob is right about the trinket.
