[Paladin] Blessing of protection - immune melee attacks still procing #3597

Current sutiation: While having Blessing of protection buff, the target is immune to melee attacks, but those attacks still proc debuffs that hit thru BoP. Example is rogue poisons, shaman frostbite, item procs like [Silent fang] and everything like this.

Expected results: While having Blessing of protection buff, you should be immune to melee attacks and therefor you should not get hit by immune attack procs.

To reproduce you will need 2 clients:

Create Blood Elf Paladin .levelup 69 .learn 10278 (Blessing of Protection Rank 3) .mod hp 100000 .t test

Create Undead rog .levelup 69 .add 22055 (Wound Poison) 2x .add 34214 (or any other weapon) 2x .t test

Enchant rogues weapons with wound poison. Duel the paladin, use Blessing of protection on the paladin client, then auto attack with the rogue. Wound poison will apply to the paladin even while under the effect of BoP.

In vanilla when paladin used bop on himself rogues just blinded him ( blind was poison back then ) so tell me why would it be different with other poisons and spells? When you attack cycloned target, that is also immune you also proc poisons and weapon enchants(mongoose), but the difference is that the target is immune to everything. In bop you are immune only to the attacks, not the spells. ..?

Please provide sufficient proof

I hope you guys realise that I can not rly provide suffiecient proof. I doubt there is a single post regarding this, since feenix is the first server I've seen this happen. Sadly I'm really busy nowadays, I'd ask if possible a tester or a staff member to test this on alternative server.

There are no patches regarding this issue between 2.4.3 and 3.3.5. So you can use a bugfree wotlk server for a test, I can't think of any other way to proove this
