Current: Player uses bandages on one of the quest NPCs, escorts the NPC to questgiver NPC Dr. Rogers before a buff kills the NPC, and saves the NPC.
Desired: Only Crusader Josephine could be saved. Running around Dr. Rogers prevented the other NPCs from dying when the buff expired, but alas, Crusaders Jonathan and Lamoof could not be officially saved to complete the quest, as evident in this screenshot (player name redacted to protect the identity and honor of this failure):
