During the drake phase, if you are within 30 yards of Malygos you should take damage from an AoE called Arcane Pulse. However, it does not appear as a source of damage on my Recount/Skada for any player. I am fairly certain that multiple people were within 30 yards of him at certain points and should have taken some damage from this, especially because it was a sloppy pug with people flying everywhere.

I am pretty sure the drake on the left is within 30 yards. At any rate, I think it's worth checking.
