Can proxies be switched according to URL? #1021

Thanks for one of the most useful Chrome extensions. I'm using 1.10.4
----------

What do you want to do?

I'd like to switch the proxy rules on or off independently of one another.

How did you try?

I set up several profiles, each associated with a single rule for the URL. The
proxy is the same in each of these cases, although I sometimes use other
proxies.

What was the result?

Selecting any profile from the list enables all of them. I can enable or
disable all of the profiles together, but not one at a time.

Other things:

I've attached a full backup of my settings.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hey. I think you can just add some invalid characters at the beginning of the
rule to make it invalid. For example, change "*.example.com" to
"#*.example.com". (So that it won't match anything now.)

Thanks for the suggestion. That's certainly a workaround, but not one which I
can easily use from the toolbar as it means opening, editing, saving and
closing SwitchySharp's options.

Ideally I'm looking for a way of applying one profile or rule from the list.

I think you need multiple auto switch mode. This is implemented in SwitchyOmega
(2.x) but not in the current 1.x branch. You can try that if you like:
