因为Chrome的设置机制,卸载浏览器后可能设置还有残留。最
单的解决办法就是再装上,然后将代理改回系统代理或者直
连接。
The proxy settings may remain there even if the extension is uninstalled due to
internal settings mechanisms in Chrome. The easiest solution would be
re-installing the extension and then changing the proxy back to "System Proxy"
or "Direct Connection".

Dear Switchysharp
Even though I reinstall the extension and choose Direct Connection or
System Proxy and uninstall the extension again, the browser does not
function correctly.
It pops up a blank page saying Cannot connect to the proxy server.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Thank you & Best Regards
Anthony

Is there any other extension managing proxy settings? It could take precedence
over SwitchySharp in that case.
You may check the current effective proxy settings at
chrome://net-internals/#proxy
If this does not change when you switch between profiles, there is a good
chance that the proxy settings are not managed by SwitchySharp.

Proxy SwitchySharp only controls proxy settings and have nothing to do with IE
(system) proxy settings. If the system proxy is set, please go and unset it
there. Configuring SwitchySharp won't help in this case. You may google to find
out how to do that.
P.S. When proxy settings in Chrome are not controlled by any extension, it
follows the system settings (i.e. the settings in IE).

This advice sucks.

Yeah, I know the advice sucks, but that's basically the only way to do it. You
know, your problem is with your system proxy settings, and have nothing to do
with this project. And if the advice sucks, i personally think that is because
you are asking in the wrong place.
Why don't you just Google it or ask at somewhere like Quora instead of hoping
the developers of a random open source project would solve it for you?

Thank you for your reply.
The way to resolve the problem is to reset your chrome setting. I came up
the solution by myself with the help of Google searching how to reset it.
This has been resolved ages ago. Developers should know more than this when
it comes to these problems.
Thank you & Best Regards

Cool then. Could you please just do me a favor and open a issue at the Chromium
project? They could just fix it so that you don't have to reset your settings
next time.
