mouse.scrolled events really really slow on m1 macOS Sonoma #522

I read in your readme that this program is lightweight. I'm not entirely sure why it is so slow with the scrolling. it appears to change my volume over high latency, but pressing the buttons to do so are fast.

Maybe this is a latency issue with the mouse scrolled events?

Ran a full OS reinstall and it seems to work a bit faster... not sure the issue there.
