Currently, I've noticed that AI places enemies way too close to each other. Which, firstly, makes many long-reach weapons pretty useless, secondly, it allows me to abuse kicks to break blocks and strike, which allows to win practically any duel with minimal effort. Such relatively simple (at least in theory) fix as making AI stay further away from each other (ideally - depending on a weapon's reach, so units with one-handed short swords would try to push forward, while units with alebards would try to keep the distance) would make duels more immersive, as usually in reality enemies don't stay so close to each other when they have weapons.
