Nintendont is working as expected.
When you run a game using cfg all nintendont options are set to however they
were set in cfg. If you want different options in nintendont when starting a
game using cfg you need to set them in cfg.

I have been searching everywhere on this issue and finally someone that has the
same problem as me. I have the exacly same problem but, I'm using Wiiflow and
not CFG USB Loader. Maybe it's a connection to the same problem?

I tried deleting the cfg.bin fil > started wiiflow > started a gamecube game >
made the settings > Loaded the game > Waited for the game menu to show up >
return to wiiflow > tries to open a new gamecube game > same problem. After
this process I opened the device on my computer and I could see it had saved
the cfg.bin. For some reason it doesn't remember the changes after I open a
gamecube game via wiiflow. If I open a game via nintendont and save the
settings it remember the settings but those settings does not apply to the
wiiflow settings, strange stuff.

"When you run a game using cfg all nintendont options are set to however they

That doesn't seem to apply for all the settings. For example, when I try to run
a PAL game on my NTSC Wii, setting CFG to "Force NTSC" have no effect and the
game still plays in black & white. If I do force NTSC via Nintendont settings,
then the game works correctly.
But again, now that I think about it, that seems to be a problem with CFG not
applying its settings correctly to Nintendont, so Nintendont itself is indeed
working as expected.
Once more, thanks for the great work! I'm finally able to play Wind Waker and
Super Mario Sunshine on my Wii. Thank you. =)

Reply: And how exactly do I change the nintendont settings in wiiflow? Open a
game in wiiflow and nintendont settings? Or is there some nintendont settings
directly in the wiiflow settings? Or change something in wiiflow.ini? Plugins?
Like I said in my earlier comment If I open a GameCube game in wiiflow and
change the settings that didn't work.

also having this problem using wiiflow/nintendont off USB (FAT32 on Partition 1)

Same problem for me
When I run Nintendont from Homebrew Channel, the changes are applied.
For example if I set Memory Card Emulation to on, "saves" folder gets created
automatically and all work as expected.
When I run Nintendont from a loader (I try Wiiflow and CFG Loader) all changes
are lost and settings go back to default.

Changing an option in nintendont will have no effect on wiiflow, cfg or gx.
If you want an option on when you start a game from wiiflow, cfg or gx you need
to set those options in the program you are using to select the game. Whe an
extrenal program tells nintendont what game to run it also tells it every
single option to use.

@Howard: thanks, I understand... but e.g. there is no option in cfg70r78 to
set 'Memory Card Emulation' ...so it is not possible to use savegames when I
use a loader? right? (sorry for my english)

When running CFG in english the option to turn memory card emulation on is
called NMM which is what dois mios calls memory card emulation (No More
Memory). If your running in a different language The translator could have
called it something different.

my main issue with this, is some loaders, like usb-cfg-mod,
do not have an option to enable shared memory cards :(

I'm experiencing the same problem with Nintendont through USB Loader GX.
What I've tried:
in USB Loader GX, going to: settings > loader settings > Nintendont section >
auto boot ON, memory card emulation ON
Each time I try to load a GC game (with Nintendont) from USB Loader GX with
those settings, Nintendont will start as a default session: no game ready to
load nor USB Loader GX settings considered.
I'm out of ideas, I've updated both apps to no avail.

@#17 did you change usbloaders path to match the location of the updated
nintendon't
Original comment by bobdot...@gmail.com

@#18 It's still the same, and it's still configured in USB Loader GX as such
(sd:/apps/nintendont/).
When I start the game on USB Loader GX, it does load Nintendont, but on default
mode.
It's not really a big deal. I can still press some buttons each time I want to
play a GC game with my saves. I just wonder what I'm missing... Maybe I should
reinstall USB Loader GX?

The problem I'm having is that launching nintendont from CFG is that widescreen
does not stick and buttons, at least A & B, are switched using the classic
controller. Then when I launch nintendont by itself all my settings are reset.
If I reset the settings and relaunch nintendont by itself the settings stick
and buttons are fine. Pretty sure it's a CFG issue, but I don't have all the
settings in CFG that are in nintendont's settings.

@#20, they changed the widescreen name,
it's now called 'wiiu widescreen'
I just gave up launching from cfg (mainly for no shared memory card setting)
and I now just launch from a channel loader.

@#21, thanks didnt realize they changed the name. Hopefully CFG will be updated
at some point to reflect this. Now I'm using a channel loader too.

The solution is easy but hard for wiiflow users like me. The problem is that
wiiflow don't have global settings for gamecube games, so you need to select
every GC game from wiiflow, click the config icon and make all changes (nmm,
usb hid, force ntsc, widescreen, etc), the game will load with these settings
every time you run it, you can turn off the wii and the settings will not be
deleted (ONLY for that game), so you need to make this procedure for every GC
game. I hope it helps!!

I forgot to mention i´m using WiiFlow_v4.2.3_Nintendont_MasterMod_Pack_Full i
don't know if normal version of wiiflow would be different

hi there, the problem can be solved very easy... simply edit the wiiflow.ini.
dml_nmm=1 "mount" the memorycard
wiiu_wide=yes start the game on wiiu in fullscreen
wiiu_widescreen=yes start the game on wiiu in fullscreen
simply copy this to section [DML]
this works global for all games ;)

manually changing the settings on 600 seperate GC games. Cheers.
