Please give you hadware spec CPU-MBOARD-RAM-VIDEOCARD Did you try with disabled remote.autostart?

Mine Is: CPU: Intel Core i3 M370 2.40GHz Motherborad: VAIO (That it came in my laptop) RAM: 8.00GB (3.29GB Limit it cuz is 32 bit of xp and i have dual boot with other os that is 64 bit) VideoCard: Intel HD Graphics (2010) (Sometime Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD "2009" but i might upgrade to 2010 version instead of 2012, cuz everytime when i boot xp 32 bit, it start so slow when i'm on desktop, but it stop like any seconds later in 2012 version in intel hd graphics, idk why it happen when is 2012 version) And yes, i didn't knew it about it, i disabled remote.autostart, when i closed browser again with any tabs, it didn't give me bsod anymore, idk why tho

pachuco commented 2 years ago

Mine are: CPU Type QuadCore Intel Xeon E5450, 2833 MHz (8.5 x 333) Motherboard Name Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L v2 RAM 4085 MB Video Adapter nVIDIA Quadro 600 (p1033)

browser.tabs.remote.autostart;false did the trick

Feodor2 commented 2 years ago

Hmm the hardware is very differnt so not a point, to find other thing you both have. Looked your bluescreen view data and found it not helpful too, do like this please image

pachuco commented 2 years ago

krash.zip Re-exported previous crashes.

Feodor2 commented 2 years ago

@pachuco You did two drivers only, while i want the list of all drivers, please do HTML Report - All Items.

win98se commented 2 years ago

Possible workaround: Disable multi-process.

Steps -

  1. Go to about:config, search for browser.tabs.remote.autostart, turn it off.
  2. Restart Mypal68 and re-test everything.

Reason (quoted from my own comment on #4) -

According to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis#Windows_XP, multi-process has huge stability issues with Windows XP, so the use case is not supported; Also prior Mypal releases (as of 29.3.0) don't even have multi-process, so such unintended incidents didn't happen on them.

And it may work as a workaround for #4 and #6 as well.

i disabled remote.autostart, when i closed browser again with any tabs, it didn't give me bsod anymore, idk why tho

Above may also explain why @MWF2 does not meet BSoDs anymore after disabling multi-process.

pachuco commented 2 years ago

@Feodor2 I use Lower Pane Mode -> Only Drivers Found In Stack (F7). Redo with All Drivers (F6)?

andika207 commented 2 years ago

@Feodor2 caused by NTKRPAE.EXE ?

Snap-Crab-No-Name-2022-4-14-6-7-21-No-00

Feodor2 commented 2 years ago

@andika207 This is what crash address shows, so yes indeed.

win98se commented 2 years ago

I'm noticing that he uses a PAE patcher (hence the different file name for the kernel executable), that might also cause extra problems.

I made the changes in about:config for browser.tabs.remote.autostart, and I turn it off. I'll do several tests.

@win98se this is necessary if you want to go beyond the limit of 3GB of RAM

andika207 commented 2 years ago

that might also cause extra problems.

@win98se if people only get BSOD with Mypal 68 it's because this browser is still buggy

Feodor2 commented 2 years ago

I already checkd on dozen different machines - many cor2duo, pehnom2, p4, celeron and old xeon core2 generation - no bsod at all.

We are to find out what is either hardware or os or or driver or particular software.

Now we have two 'i' and one xeon winxp, though i have no any 'i' generation machines around then my xeon has 16gb ram nvidia gtx970 and runs win8.

@Feodor2 my main machine was built in 2007 and I personally use a Phenom 9850 but that hardware you have tested it on is obsolete and even worse.. 2 cores only ?

I have other machines with i5 or i7 but I don't think hardware is an issue because all other chinese browsers are working fine. MiniBrowser... MiniChrome... XuanWu... @win98se @roytam1

sometimes I get a BSOD when I close chrome based browsers but this problem already existed with the original chrome.

roytam1 commented 2 years ago

plain XP SP3 is still buggy, better picking up all POSReady2009 updates and try again.

andika207 commented 2 years ago

@roytam1 I don't use the unofficial SP4, all my updates were downloaded from M$ website.

did you install all POSR2009 updates and then make an image of your hard drive or did you perform other alternatives for storing your XP copy ?

I wonder if M$ ever released newer updates post April 2019... ?

I have been busy enough with other things and had no time for this labor but I am not sure if there still is an affective way to download updates from M$ servers.....

chrischris888 commented 2 years ago

I have XP SP3 Media Center Edition 2004 and I am using it since then and I never saw a BSOD in all these 18 years, not even once, I never had this BSOD. 18 years on a row 365 days a year I never saw on my computer a single BSOD and I am very honest.

I also started to use MyPal all previous versions until 29.3 and I never saw a BSOD.

In the very same day when I started MyPal 68, I also experienced the very first BSOD, although, except that, the new browser has amazing capabilities and options. What I can use WITHOUT getting any BSOD is my Facebook ... and Facebook chat, without opening anything else. If I only do that, then everyhting is well.

For all other websites (including you tube with that annoying notification "improve your experience bla bla") I am still using version 29.3 thanks god it still works. I can open 12 to 16 tabs and navigate through all of them and after few hundred of clicks MyPal 29.3 starts to slow very much, ok, no problem with that, I just make a clean temp files and clear RAM, and I restart MyPal again and I can continue either from the same point, with all tabs opened or reopen all one by one... I am doing this for years and it is fine for me. I am satisfied.

I can use both opened WITHOUT any BSOD with the condition not to open more than 1 tab on MyPal 68 and not to open YouTube also on MyPal 68 ... this is the best I can do to avoid this BSOD. But it is annoying not have one single browser and open dozens of tabs.

andika207 commented 2 years ago

@chrischris888 so you have to reset your browser anytime you get to open 12 tabs ? LOL what a nightmare ! that's even worse than Internet Explorer 5 ever was. I am unable to understand why people keep using deprecated web browsers without the stunning multi process feature. hardware can't be an excuse because you can find anything on ebay, brand new or used for very little money I use XP because I hate and miss out some things on W7 not because of hardware constraints the american rebuild of 360chrome is the one that best runs facebook, reddit, twitter...etc, sometimes it crashes and loads m.facebook domain but overall performance is pretty decent for XP.

andika207 commented 2 years ago

@chrischris888 Serpent browser doesn't load every tab on startup as chrome does so I can have 400+ tags open at a time. With chrome however I have to make use of a nice addon called ''OneTab'' Serpent struggles when I open many tabs too fast or when they stay open for long periods of time I don't know why but CPU processing goes up and when it hits 25% threshold the surfing becomes unusable so I have no other chance but restart it. I think this also happens with W7 and Basilisk

I recently got a BSOD due to another utility's crash and fortunately Serpent conserved my last 4-5 opened tabs over the last session, so it has nicely been improved since last december which for no apparent reasons could not save the latest tabs when it suddenly crashes

I am about to remove the Serpent 55 forever because I never use it, it doesn't support addons that are missing with Serpent 52, performance wise it's not any better, so I don't see any advantage on it unless anyone proves me wrong...
I don't use any agent switcher and all sites seem to work perfectly with Serpent ''68'' @roytam1

I Personally i didn't have any bsod with the compaq that i tested it with 1.5gb of ram cpu amd athlon 64 (Dunno how many ghz) gpu nvidia geforce 9800 gtx 512 mb ram so idk how they are experiancing bsod with mypal though the xp installation i have on the compaq is completelytrashed out due to me trying to fix the mbr and messing it up now i need to reinstall xp on it which is what i am currently trying to do so i can test again mypal68

i did install all posready2009 updates, with multiprocess mode that browser still same bsod

MWF2 commented 2 years ago

2 report after gave bsod with clean install xp and all pos ready 2009 xp in mypal quantum.zip here zip, that you can check it, is still gave any bsod, whatever clean install before updates or pos ready 2009 updates, still same result with multiprocess mode

Feodor2 commented 2 years ago

My win32k.sys is 5.1.2600.7649 So my winxps did not install every and all postready update, also did not installed every newest hardware driver.

MWF2 commented 2 years ago

well unfortunately, all drivers, like intel 5 series chipset, wifi driver, ethernet driver, dram one for my laptop sony vaio serie e vpcea35fl was 2013 while intel turbo boost was 2010, last driver compatible, as for graphics driver, there last version is 2012, but it will be slow and sluggish when if boot xp to desktop, takes ages to right click destop, so i had to stuck relased 2010 and 2009 graphics driver that i find it, my laptop was relased 2010, so no new hardware driver for my laptop that i using

andika207 commented 2 years ago

last time a played with Mypal68 I didn't suffer from BSOD but I found it rather slow in comparison to the 360 chrome fork. Reddit, Facebook, TikTok... if the browsing experience is smooth enough on these kind of heavy load sites then the browser is almost perfect.

Feodor2 commented 2 years ago

So i have not installed several 2019 updates, of april and may actually. I choose most newest pc around - the Phenom2, shall install and check.

Feodor2 commented 2 years ago

Did not get a BSOD ever, so this is not about win32k.sys version. Please check in safe mode with networks.

MWF2 commented 2 years ago

i decided to try out with xp x64 one with multiprocess, and same my laptop hardware, it didn't give me any bsod with multiprocess, idk how 32 bit it does

@MWF2 @IP-CAM @jeanluc162 out of curiosity I just checked my last BSOD logs I am using a rather clean partition free from viruses and I have gotten a dozen of BSOD over the past two weeks this is more than what I got since early 2022 on another messy and dirty partition !!! here are some system files involved in the cause. ntoskrnl.exe, win32k.sys, tcpipi.sys, dxg.sys, hal.dll, ipnat.sys

Feodor2 commented 2 years ago

For all time from the beginning i got two only win32k bsods on phenom 2. Beside this i use cor2duo, pentiom4 and newer amd fx 8core so there was no bsod. I will make further thinks after the coming new version 68.13.0 with huge javascript update which also poke core-dom-ipc, let it watch then.

andika207 commented 2 years ago

@Feodor2 if the motherboard used for the Phenom 2 and FX CPU series is different then your comparison makes no sense at all. as I mentioned above I rarely got a BSOD on my 3 years old ''dirty'' primary XP partition however this secondary XP partition is getting a little annoying wish I knew the cause which triggers the BSOD maybe I need to reinstall the LAN drivers or disable some processes on the background such as searchindexer.exe or install Windows updates left over on the yellow warning triangle or just uninstall some software utilities which I suspect in.

MWF2 commented 2 years ago

my winver also the os that i running is xp x64, same hardware at difference is 64 bit version of xp, i use mypal in multiprocess active, when i closed with like much tabs, it didn't gave me blue screen of death while on 32 bit it does
