I am also running the same OS, and same gamemode version. Same issue as described. Test fails while verifying ioprio.

+1, same problem, same OS and same GameMode version. Did you ever find a solution?

mamoniot commented 1 year ago

+1 I've got this issue too on the same OS. Reinstalling does not help.

jhpgcj commented 1 year ago

I'm on latest Pop OS here. Try to properly install gamemode following the instructions on this page, then reboot the system. After that, try the self-test and see if it works.

ammunk commented 1 year ago

Tried what @jhpgcj suggested in https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode/issues/376#issuecomment-1455185288. Still doesn't work for me.

Bobbyperson commented 1 year ago

+1 Same issue here. Same everything.

ararunaufc commented 1 year ago

+1, same version, but I'm in ArchLinux (last updated today, 2023-06-30).

It's strange we got no comment from the devs since Aug'22...

Tiagoquix commented 10 months ago

+1, same issue, same OS, and gamemode version 1.8.1.

MajorP93 commented 4 months ago

+1, issue is still there, using PopOS! 22.04 and gamemode version 1.8.1

cristiansoarescck commented 1 month ago

For those who runs Pop_OS on Laptop, you just need switch setting in 'Power Settings' to High Performance.
