I had the same issue, was able to fix it by deleting some lines from a file
with the
database preferences for your recent searches. Search for .json files on your
hard
drive (including hidden files & folders). It should come up as
'TheTVDB.com.seriesdata.json' or 'EpisodeWorld.com.seriesdata.json' (depending
on
which database you used). Open this file with notepad and you just have to
delete
the complete paragraphs with the name of the incorrect series (or all data if
you
want) When you close and save, restart Mediarenamer and you will be asked
again for
the language preference.
Mediarenamer also seemed to work if you delete the .json file from your hard
drive,
but the program doesn't seem to make a new one automatically when you start the
program, so this method may cause some problems down the road.
Not really the most user friendly solution, perhaps they can code something more
straightforward in the next build.

had same problem there really needs to be a solution, not sure why it would
even need
to remember what language you picked if you didn't rename the file.

I had the same issue,
but I got around it by changing the TV database used,
from TVDB to episodeworld. then when it searched it again, it didnt refer to my
original input.
Not a long term fix, but a solution.
