You can set your own steering wheel input keys, the default settings are as follows： Button 21: Mapped to the LCtrl key (Left Control). Button 34: Mapped to the LAlt key (Left Alt). Hope this helps！

I use joystick gremlin to achieve something equivalent. My shifter is mapped to my numblock which is used for the different gears in smgm.ini.
