Creator can hear music, joiners cannot #298

Hi there,

We love Festify and are would like to continue using it in the current climate of remote working. We have a playlist created by person A, who can upvote tracks and hear music. Persons B, C and D have all joined the party using the code and can also see the playlist and upvote tracks. However none of the joiners can hear music.

Is this expected functionality as the app isn't designed to be used remotely by multiple users? Or is this a bug?

Hey @SophieGault,

this feature is not available in Festify as of now, but maybe the web app jqbx.fm will do what you're trying to do. It doesn't work with the same voting system, rather it plays a linear queue, but everyone can listen in from home.

Thanks for the speedy response - we'll have a look into the app you suggested. It's the voting system that we love so much, and will continue using this in the office. If the above functionality for remote users to enjoy Festy became available, our remote teams would love it!

Hey Sophie,

It's been a while since you opened the ticket, so I'll close it for inactivity. We currently don't have the time to implement this feature, but have found a workaround for your scenario. If you share the Festify browser tab on your Video Conference app of choice, most offer to share the audio as well, so you can kinda broadcast the music to your team.
