Description

The unnecessary assignment check does less than it could do, because of concerns for false-positives, if desired one could extend it to detect:

[ ] unnecessary assignments for attributes of this class or other classes
[ ] variables that are only written to, but never read
[ ] writes that are nested in some structure like an if or a loop
