GUI Inventory crash after update to 1.22.25 #2

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Starting the game and joining a server
2. Be in creative mode
3. Open inventory

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The creative inventory should open as needed, but instead the client locks up
and crashes out to the desktop. It only happens intermittently, however.

What version of the mod are you using?
1.22.25-1.6.x

What version of Minecraft are you using?
1.6.4

Are you playing on a server? If so is it a forge or MCPC+ server?
Yes, an MCPC+ server. However, the server itself does not crash.

If you have an error log please provide me with a pastebin link:
http://pastebin.com/BGmb9qKH

Please provide any additional information below.
I know the error log is very vague and does not mention the backpack mod
explicitly, but this only started happening after updating the mod to 1.22.25
(and only that mod), so admittedly this bug report is a bit of a wild stab in
the dark. My apologies if it ends up being invalid.

I have tested this with the newest MCPC+ version
mcpc-plus-1.6.4-R2.1-forge953-B160.jar without getting any errors.
I have put different backpacks in my hotbar, inventory and personal backpack
slot, without any problems.

Maybe a MCPC+ problem again, do you have the same version as me?
If so or you have updated and still get the error if possible please try this
again with just backpack installed on your server. No other mods no plugins.
Tell me if the error still occurs then or not.

I've tested it on a clean B160-version mcpc+ server now with only backpacks
installed both server-side and client-side, and no crashes yet. However, since
the crashes happen very intermittently even on the 'proper' server I run (same
version of mcpc+ on that as of this morning) and aren't easily predictable,
it's hard to tell if it's just a fluke, an actual bug in your mod or triggered
by something else. Given that it's a crash in how the game renders something, I
just kinda assumed the server wasn't that important.

Honestly, as I stated in the original bug report, it was a bit of a long shot,
but I really appreciate you looking into it. If I get more detailed crash
reports whenever it crashes again, somehow, I'll return here if it turns out to
actually be related to backpacks.

Ok I will put the issue on hold as it is unclear if it is related to the mod
and not reproduceable due to the random appearance.

As there is nothing new here and we have new versions for quite some time, I
will close this now.
