Possible Custom Recipes Glitch #37

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have Biomes O Plenty installed.
2. Have Custom recipes installed.
3. Add the needed recipes to use the extra BOP dyes to colour backpacks
4. Attempt to recolour a standard backpack with a BOP dye

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect a standard backpack to be colour changed especially as the custom
recipe has been set up shapeless to take a bop dye, and a standard backpack and
produce the expected colour.

What version of the mod are you using?

4.5-5

What version of Minecraft are you using?

1.6.4

Are you playing on a server? If so is it a forge or MCPC+ server?

No, single player

If you have an error log please provide me with a pastebin link:

No error log, not even in custom recipes.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have set the IDs up in the dictionary for custom recipes for each and every
colour and combination. The recipes I added work for backpacks going from one
colour to another, it just does not work on the standard uncoloured packs,
either standard or big.

As the same recipes work for other backpacks I can only assume it is some form
of issue with backpacks mod but am not sure, hence reporting this to you.

This must be an issue with either BOP or custom recipes. There is nothing I can
do against it.
Also you shouldn't use custom recipes for this you will loose the content of
the backpack which won't happen when you use a proper dye.
I will contact the BOP people because I'm already using the ore dictionary for
the colors so it should already work out of the box.
The fact that it isn't working with BOP (it is working with e.g. forestry)
means that they are doing something different than they should.

Ok after investigating this a little bit more I found the problem. You can
already craft backpacks with BOP dyes but recoloring isn't working with their
dyes.
I will fix this in the next release.
