1.7.2 Pre-Release

What version of Minecraft are you using?
1.7.2

Are you playing on a server? If so is it a forge or MCPC+ server?
no, singleplayer

Please provide any additional information below:
When I open the controls menu of minecraft, there is no hotkey for "open 
backpack" like there was for minecraft 1.6

This is a pre-release and this feature isn't implemented yet.

I will implement everything that was in the 1.6 version. It will just take some 
time.
