I receive no update - Githubissues

Hi,

I can create hardware and devices using the BMW plugin to connect a BMW X1 of 2021, but data are not updated. The only error I receive at startup is the following:

Did you try the command-line bimmerconnected? Did you well enter your password, username and VIN in the settings? I could suspect that one of them is left empty, because I had no defence in coding when they are empty. Potentially use the command line: bimmerconnected status [username] [password] rest_of_world Could you then paste the output you got? I have the same version and also running or RPI... F

Hi Filip,

I sent you yesterday the log I got. You will find in attachment a copy of the hardware definition. The settings seem correct to me.

As I explained, I can connect to the car and receive data but only once.

I have seen the info yesterday. Thanks. However will need to debug... Will probably not doing it very fast but will try to work regularly on it (I am working during the day :-)).

I find some new information in your message... Do I interpret correctly that your the devices are filled in with good information the first time (eg mileage), however at the next update (at the specified interval), there is no update anymore? I could see if this is indeed a good conclusion if you activate the "debug" information (the hardware screen of the plugin) and then give me the log (ideally in text format - attaching a file).

Not sure that I will get all the necessary information to identify the problem, but when necessary I could then send you a new version with some additional debug information.

I am pretty sure it will be sth stupid to fix... However as I said, I will need a bit of time as it is difficult to combine with my professional activities.

Hi,

Sorry to bother you again. So I suppose there is no link betwee the plugin problem and the Proxy error.

However, when I disable the plugin BMW, Domoticz blocks each time. I have to stop and restart it through a SSH connection. I have no problem when I enable the plugin.

I find some new information in your message... Do I interpret correctly that your the devices are filled in with good information the first time (eg mileage), however at the next update (at the specified interval), there is no update anymore? I could see if this is indeed a good conclusion if you activate the "debug" information (the hardware screen of the plugin) and then give me the log (ideally in text format - attaching a file).

Not sure that I will get all the necessary information to identify the problem, but when necessary I could then send you a new version with some additional debug information.

I am pretty sure it will be sth stupid to fix... However as I said, I will need a bit of time as it is difficult to combine with my professional activities.

Seems I have the same problem.... Still got correct data yesterday evening after a ride at 20h. Today I drive 10 km, however Domoticz shows still 0 km... Mmmm as I changed nothing at my side, seems there is something... So I will need to investigate. To be continued...

Seems there was a change in the bimmer_connected library wrt the initialisation of the fuel indicators. I made a published a patch. I am currently working on an update with some refactoring and it is tested inside my code. Hope I didn't make a stupid error while patching this version...

PS: next version will support geolocalisation and will detect when the car enters a zone around the house.
