Yesterday, I found that a Chinese computer company uses your project and they remove your license from the page. And they say "We created this tool by ourselves before anyone build a tool to test CVE-2014-0160" http://wangzhan.360.cn/heartbleed/

fibo commented 10 years ago

It is really common: a chinese that copies an italian.

kinosang commented 10 years ago

I've already sent an email to them, but there didn't replay.

unknwon commented 10 years ago

@kinosang I didn't see "We created this tool by ourselves before anyone build a tool to test CVE-2014-0160" anymore, probably they removed after your e-mail. :+1:

And since this project is under MIT license, it's no need for saying they're using this project.

luca-l commented 10 years ago

@Unknwon There is a huge difference between using something under MIT license and claiming that you developed that something when that is not true.

Screenshots aren't absolute proof, but perhaps it is a good idea to document things like this in some manner to counter claims that the reported issue or concern was invented by the author of the report/post.

unknwon commented 10 years ago

@luca-l I don't think you get the point.

First of all, it's stolen when they claim they did the code.

Secondly, they removed this claim. And what I'm saying is it becomes normal use of this project now.

unknwon commented 10 years ago

@luca-l Sorry, I think my words weren't clear in my first comment. I should say:

after they removed claim, it's no need for saying they're using this project.

luca-l commented 10 years ago

@Unknwon That is fair, yes, thank you for the clarification and I agree.
