The BCS-482 looks very promising. Has a web UI and supports ladder logic which can be very powerful. Check out the documentation. More specifically, the ladder logic section. It also has PID tuning and we can use the ladder logic to implement the safety start very easily. The UI would just be a web interface and we can create custom processes as well.

This looks great. Much more flexible than previous iterations of the BCS.

we went with the BCS system. Parts list is here for the entire stand
