Having /var/www/karmalog/var/run/blah puts sockets and non-files beneath the repository tree.
/var/www/karmalog/var/run/blah
I did briefly attempt to move to /var/log/ and /var/run/ but permissions problems came up faster than I could say "ugh".
/var/log/
/var/run/
/opt/var/log and /opt/var/run/ might be a suitable alternative to look into.
/opt/var/log
/opt/var/run/
What is the usual practice for enabling access to these things? Maybe there's a particular group the user should belong to?
This problem was specific for improving the Vagrant VM, which is no longer a thing that exists.
RIP Vagrant VM. I was the only one who ever loved you.
