As-Is

Develop according to git-flow
Merge the develop branch into the master branch and release it

To-Be

Develop according to GitHub-flow
If there's a hotfix, create a branch from the released tag and commit the fix
After releasing the modified version, merge the hotfix branch into the master

branch
