To me it seems, that the main decission to be made is: Do we want to allow parts of propti
to be used in proprietary products or not.

I would suggest to choose a license that grants the most freedom. Question is, what is more freedom?
Is it more free, when you allow that anyone can do whatever one wants with the code as long as the author is mentioned (would be MIT)? Or is it when you ensure that any distributed derivative or modification of this code is also released under the same, free, license (would be GPL3)?
I would go with option 1, MIT license, as it seems more free to me.
We also should check, if any code we reused here is released under a license that forces us to use the same license and we should check if any of us is asked to release something under a specific license by his employer.

Which quorum do we need to decide? 1/2, 2/3 or 1?
