authentication module for apache ?? la mod_auth_mysql [CORE714] #1086

I would like to know if there exists or is someone is working on an authentication for apache similar to MySQL's mod_auth_mysql. This would definitely help getting Firebird more accepted in the Web community.

FYI I've just finished my mod_auth_ibase module for Apache 1.3/2 and Firebird 1.5 As I'm working with Apache 1.3 the part of the code for 2.x is not tested and may require some tweaks to make it thread-safe.
