I administer Linux and Windows Firebird database version 2.5.x.Before we used Linux Firebird for our Production Environment but due to lot off issues on Linux Firebird like Firebird Database hangup(Applications cannot connect to Database Server) we decided to Migrate in Windows Firebird ,knowing that Windows Firebird can use Multiple CPU by modifying firebird.conf cpu affinity. This changes helps a lot and we eliminate the issues on Firebird database.
I still plan to run Firebird in Linux Environment since Linux is free, but i want to know what is wrong in our Linux Setup of firebird before I decide to run Production Application on Linux Firebird.
Hoping that there's some one can share their Production or Optimized/Tuned Firebird database in Linux and Windows
