Currently all of the shade 50's (Blue50, Green50, Red50, etc) do not pass AA standards for contrast ratio when used with white text.
I'm considering using Red60 for error validation messages, though the style guide promotes using Red50 for error validation.
Separate, larger question, but should we, as an organization, maintain a commitment to AA compliance, and if so, adjust most instances where we're promoting the 50 shades as background colors for text in order to be compliant? Offhand, I notice this issue on Message Bars, Alternate Color Jumbo Buttons (used by marketing), and error validation states. It's also apparent on all doorhanger buttons (Blue50)
