Colin, what do you mean by "optimized for the site"? Do you mean images that are more relevant to web development?
More so the size portions and constraints. If you look at the images on large screen, laptop scree, tablet screen, cell phone they all look different because of how the hero box and the images are setup and proportioned. Getting them reduces to a more web optimized ratio would go a long way to making them more presentable.
Optimize Images To Look Better In The Hero Box
The landing page and the posts pages have a hero box to display the images that we place in the front matter of the posts and the index page. Currently these images look alright but they are definitely not optimized for the site and are just standard stock images.
It would be nice to maybe have a dozen images or so that are optimized specifically for our site so that we can reuse the ones we have and will have the knowledge that they will look good when we publish the posts.
Extra Credit:
Create a blog post on how to go about doing this on our own so that we could possibly have a few other sets of images that we can put into rotation in the future.
