8 years ago Sorry! it was nothing personal at all! your method worked great but when many people were having issues with it crashing on the start up of the second instance in the appdata folder either because their computers didn't have permission to write to it, or the application initially didn't close fast enough. As well as it had to open and restart the launcher 2 times in order to get the full update.
It was very helpful when we had the issue and I appreciate what you did. You may laugh at the code I used, whatever but this method only needs to open the launcher once after restart, it doesn't utilize the appdata folder which does have complications sometimes, it also keeps the executable that it download in an area where the person can see it, (where the launcher is ran) and the ping helps slow down the rename process so it gives time for the application to delete after it is terminated.
