Confirmed as an issue.

I'm not actually having that problem with a "super jump." So, I can't duplicate
that. However if I have a low ceiling and I jump off of an entity while on the
run, I will go partially through the ceiling. How far through the ceiling
depends on how high the curved entity.
I'm not sure if Lee confirmed the "super jump" part of the issue. I'm afraid
there are always going to be issues and very often they are not necessarily
bugs. If they were then "everybody" would be experiencing the exact same
thing. However, there are only a "handful" (three or four that I can see) who
are experiencing the "super jump."
In order for an issue to be corrected it needs to be confirmed. Part of this
issue is confirmed as far as I know; but, I can't personally confirm the super
jump issue. This means it is nearly impossible to find and fix.
When I raise another story (floor) and extend the ceiling there is no issue for
me as the player doesn't jump far enough to even hit the ceiling. I am using a
burnt out car from War Torn model pack to test with.
One thing I would like is if you could create a simple map using stock items
that creates this issue, then could you please send it to me? I will see if it
will cause the same issue for me. If it does then we have a starting point.
Also, it would be nice to see a short video if you are able of this happening.
More information the more useful to track down the issue.

Leave it with me Terry!

Now what is THAT supposed to mean? To me that was rude and you won't get very
far with that attitude. :(

I would take it you've never met a man from Lancashire...
'Leave it with me' is meant to mean, I've understood everything you've said,
leave the legwork to me and i'll get you what you need (ie: video, test map)!
It was no way intended to be rude or arrogant. Apologies if it came across that
way.

No I haven't :) I've been watching lots of BBC TV series and trying to pick up
on some of colloquialisms. One thing I have learned is that the Brits
usually have a way of saying things in as few words as possible; and, taking a
word like rowdy and creating a verb out of it by shortening it to "row."
I'm sorry I blew up like that, though. I'm old enough to be either a Father or
Grandfather to everybody on the forums. When I feel someone is being
disrespectful then I get a little angry. But, I see now that you are not and I
thank you for the explanation. No apologies needed since the explanation. ;)
As you can see from my name (Terry Cox) my ancestors come from England,
although a few come from Ireland. I consider that's why I love British
television and humour and love Irish music; although, I really liked the
British invasion of the mid to late '60s.

I also am getting this super jumping bug. I had tried to video using Fraps,
but it had abit of a hit on my FPS and it would not do it to the same affect.
The one thing I noticed is if my FPS in or around 70 it was more likely to
happen. Also I found it would happen more on sloped surfaces, than the likes
of tables. High FPS makes it more likely to happen than low FPS.

Hmmm? I'll turn off my FPS cap and see what happens. Right now I can't get any
better than a constant 58-60.

I can't get beyond 60. Anyway for you to bring it down for now? ;)

Terry, not a problem bud. When it comes to british I am probably one of 'the'
most northern people you'd find, even my friends can't understand me talk!
Proper Accent ;) I literally abbreviate everything, if I meet someone called
Daniel, I instantly refer to them as 'Dan', a cup of tea is a brew, a barmcake
is a barmcake NOT a bap (had this argument many a year with folk up here)!
Back to the issue at hand...
I managed to get it to happen all over my MP map. It uses alot of custom media
aswell as stock. To replicate what I described above the typical scenario
involved keeping hold of shift (run) and jumping upwards on an entity (static)
and some segments. It would launch me at least 5-7 segments upwards, more if I
kept hold of the space key (asif it was looping the jump)...
I will try get a video together tomorrow along with a stock map and post them
on here for you!

Hi guys,
Lee has just added code to lessen the potential for issue 73 (super jump).
Usually he likes to put new code in another beta but it might go directly into
release. I kind of wanted add another command that went with the commands he
put in that made it to beta 15. Hopefully I can still get it in.

Beta 16 might control the superjump issue. I would check it out.

Terry, I can confirm the issue seems to have settled quite a LOT in Beta 17.
Thankyou for the assistance!
