SMB share doesn't work without password #22

Hi. Ive tried to setup SMB share without requiring username and password and it doesnt seems to work. Everything is fine with password set.

Just to be clear I am talking about accessing SMB share on Slice from PC on network.

Assuming you are using Windows 7 or 8, you will need to remove the Homegroup setup. A procedure for this is shown at http://slicehowto.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#How_to_setup_Slice_access_to_folders_on_a_Windows_computer

Is their a way someone can post a video about Lock Preferences for SMB maybe a youtube video to clarify this thing because I'm still getting the same thing no matter what. Thank you

m4recek, what's the issue with using a password?? If you tick the 'path' line in Kodi, Slice doesn't ask for the password again...

Some have had success with uninstalling Windows Live Sign In Assistant....
