Open m4recek opened 9 years ago

  1. Start a movie
  2. go back to menu (leave movie playing)
  3. navigate to folder with photos, start cycle through list to see their thumbnails
  4. Slice will restart itself or freeze

Hi, I've tried this on my slice and it continues working perfectly. If you try going to Setup>System info>Storage and look for the line that has /storage at its end, then look to see what the Used% is just to its left. If this is very high, this could be your problem. If this is very high, it's probably because your images thumbnail directory is full. Regards Kevin.

Disk is not full.

My guess is that slice is trying to load a preview of a photo. But it takes too long, and if you dont wait for it to load and will keep going down the list, it tries to load more and more thumbnails. Until it drains whole memory, then it crash. Having movie playing in the background helps to get to the crash faster. (Access to disk is slower so it takes longer to load thumbnail and some memory is taken by movie playback). Anyway, it will still happen without playing movie, its just takes longer.
