The cause of this, is a combination of:
a) The Campton font does not support an extensive list of character sets
and
b) A user cannot change skin.slice's fonts from the ui (the fonts option is greyed out)
Proposed solution is that a new version of skin.slice allows the user to switch the Campton font to additional fonts that do support more character sets (e.g. arial)
Version 0.9.4 of skin.slice has the issue of certain character sets (e.g. Cyrillic, Greek and others) not being displayed. The "square" gets displayed instead. (see: http://forums.fiveninjas.com/t/how-to-change-the-font/528)
