What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.not a problem
2.in-game, with detail level selected, press w

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Can you make the Wild detail level selectable in-game without pressing w?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
tyrian 2.1 with opentyrian r944

Please provide any additional information below.
there's another secret mode if you press "left" from the "wild" mode. 
laptop vga.

wild is supposed to be a easter egg; hiding eggs in plain sight is no fun ;)
