Bug Report - Editor changes don't show up in game (Gen1 | custom VC | Pokemon blue) #1414

Open KasanV opened 10 months ago

KasanV commented 10 months ago

Describe the bug I try to change a move on a Pokémon. I save the changes. I try to open the game (I have tried opening the game through pksm or home menu) the changes are not made.

I tried saving the game. Making the changes. Resetting the game and loading the game (both from pksm and home menu)

The game is a VC install from FBI made with the "New Super Ultimate Injector" and I added the custom ID to PKSM

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to the Editor
  2. Change a move an a Pokémon
  3. Go back
  4. Press the button in the bottom left corner
  5. Open the game (I tried both the button on the bottom right, or exiting from pksm and opening the game from the home screen)
  6. After loading the game no changes are visible in game

Same problem here. Trying to load backup save in Pokemon Fire Red (injected via New Super Ultimate Injector) - no changes are in the game when it starts. OS version: old3DS 11.17.0-50E PSKM version: 10 Entrypoint: CFW

I don't exactly know how, but it seems the issue is fixed for me. Just loading backup didn't work, but I tried to edit pokemon in the storage, PKSM asked if I "want to write changes to my flashcard" or something, I've chosen yes and it worked - backup is loaded, changes are in game.

If you're using save states, then it will not work due to the nature of how save stating works in the virtual console. Please confirm whether or not your injection had save states enabled.
