5 years ago I unfortunately have a handful of local commits that will also break this. I think I'll try to do the new syntax after those.

I saw the commit from like 2015 that had new syntax, but a lot has changed since then in the plugin and that commit is outdated. That commit was also missing a handful of misc new-syntax changes.
