Checked in game, the spawn point remains even if the spawn furniture is broken - this is acceptable behaviour as the same effect happens to beds.

The spawn check is only handled during moment the player respawns in both cases. The tent spawn icon is removed if a temporary spawn point becomes invalid from a missing tent, as does the bed spawn icon if a bed is removed during spawn.
