Default Fan Speed #443

I changed my fan speed to 50% using open hardware monitor while gaming.  I had 
a BSOD during the game, and now the video card always defaults to 50% fan 
speed.  When I open openhardwaremonitor, I can manually change the fan speed 
back to a lower setting, but by setting it back to default it still is 50% fan 
speed.  The fan speed is still at 50% even after a restart.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 0.5.1 Beta, Win 7x64

Similar issue on Win8.1 for me. My GTX 760 won't go back to auto/default fan 
speeds after changing it. I need to reinstall my nvidia drivers in order for 
the fan to go back to automated mode.

On top of that, when I reinstall open hardware monitor it goes BACK to the old 
setting! From the grave. I looked in the registry for anything referencing the 
app and came up empty, but any help would be appreciated.
