Is there a way to get the server time instead of local time (every X minutes)?

because:

i don't trust genesi time (cheap hardware)
it will have to run ntpd (and not ntpdate for example) on every device, and hope for network/no blocked ports/firewalls

Actually, if we're going to run VPN on all devices this should overcome the blocked NTP ports issue and we can run a local NTP server.

To be tested, is for later.

I'm going to close this.

We can record NTP stats via Munin and for now NTP seems to be doing its work.
