Kirby Adventure Wii crashes #357

Describe the bug Selecting a save file crashes the game and a forced shutdown was used

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Launch kirby adventure wii
  2. Click on a new file
  3. It crashes

What version of WiiFlow Lite v5.5.3

On Wii or Wii U vWii Wii

Questions

Did you redump it? Yes I did and It didn't work.

Erase the save of the game? Yes I did that.

Kirby Return to Dreamland was freezing for me as well on version 5.5.3. Running from a USB HDD on RVL-001 Wii. It had been running fine on version 5.4.9 and I was using a game save file started while running 5.4.9 of Wii Flow. With Version 5.5.3 if I opened that save file and then entered into the Lor Starcutter or any level it would freeze. However, if I manually set Deflicker Filter to "Normal" the game runs and no longer freezes on 5.5.3. If I set Deflicker Filter back to "Default" the freeze occurs at the same points. In my case the Default setting for the Deflicker Filter is "Off (safe)" in my global Wii Flow config. Since setting Deflicker Filter to "Normal" works for me, I figured I would mention that as something for everyone to check if they experience this freeze. I can also start a new file this way, without freezing.

According to gbatemp @wiidev fixed this in ULGX rev.1281. Maybe this patch can be taken over.

on march 17th 2023 i added the kirby patch from usblgx. you need wfl 5.5.4 beta 3.

In the releases I can only see v5.5.3 and no v5.5.4 even though it was said in the code area, did you forget to release v5.5.4 by mistake? As I checked on Mobile, PC and the HBB/OSC.
