whenever you try to save it when there's more than 1 image, it won't update the last saved location until after all saving is finished, so if you want to save it to a specific folder but didn't just save something else to it right before, you need to navigate to it for every file you're saving.

That is by design.

Are you trying to save the media saved through the extension under a specific folder? For example, all media is stored under the “Fav” folder under Download. Or do you want a folder for each tweet?

In the former case, it can be added as an extension setting through development.

i have multiple specific folders for various things to organize, so i will often change folders.
