This would be excellent, but the gdata-python-client project would have to 
support Buzz before we can. Someday...

I'm just going through marking stuff like this WontFix to clean up the tracker 
a bit. If you really want to see Buzz support, submit an issue on the 
gdata-python-client project!

Is there a possibility that GoogleCL would add support for Google services 
which offer a Python client library but don't expose a GData interface?

I filed the equivalent feature request in the gdata-python-client: 
http://code.google.com/p/gdata-python-client/issues/detail?id=386 in case 
you're unable to fix it here.
