1. go to roundcube -> personal serttings -> filters
2. it will say "could not connect to sieve server:

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using iRedMail 0.6.1 on Ubuntu 10.04

I am given to understand there is no separate sieve server now? As far as I
know it is a dovecot plugin... But for some reason it doesnt start...

Does it work when you return back to "Filters" tab? i mean:

- Click "Filters", it says "cound not connect to sieve server".
- Click "Folders" tab or other tabs to leave Filters tab now
- Click "Filters" tab again. Does it work now?

Seems it can't create necessary folders first time.

Nope... where should the folders be localted?

I have a folder tree like this:
/var/vmail/sieve/mydomain.com/myaccount/tmp

Default is /var/vmail/sieve/[DOMAIN]/[USERNAME]/.

It's better to set "mail_debug = yes" in dovecot config (dovecot.conf), restart
it, and monitor log file /var/log/dovecot.log for troubleshooting.

I checked the logs and there is a sieve server working for sure delivering
email, it is just that roundcube cant access it. I even check all the settings
- they are same as here:
http://www.iredmail.org/forum/topic1158-iredmail061-released-with-ubuntu-1004-lt
s-support.html
but still nothing

Thanks for the link.

So, upgrading roundcube to 0.4.x or the latest 0.5 fixes it. I'd like to close
this issue. Thanks for your time and great feedback. :)
